Savage 210, 212 & 220 Slug Gun Scope Mount Fitment Guide
How to choose the correct EGW Picatinny rail for Savage 210, 212, and 220 slug guns.
Start With the Exact Savage Model
Savage 210, 212, and 220 slug guns do not all use the same scope base. Although the model numbers are similar, the receiver dimensions and mounting patterns are different.
Savage 210
The Savage 210 uses its own dedicated EGW rail. Its receiver has a 3.659-inch center spread, measured center-to-center between the two centermost receiver screw holes.
The Savage 210 rail does not interchange with the Savage 212 or Savage 220.

The Savage 212 uses a dedicated EGW rail with 4.630-inch long-action screw spacing. Even though that spacing may be familiar from other Savage applications, the receiver dimensions of the 212 are different from the 210 and 220.
Use a rail specifically made for the Savage 212 rather than substituting another Savage long-action base.

All Savage 220 slug guns use the same EGW mounting footprint. EGW offers both Standard Duty and Hunter Series options for this model.
The shortened Standard Duty rail works well for most setups and leaves extra room around larger objective bells or scopes that need to sit farther rearward. The Hunter Series version provides the same firearm fitment in stronger 7075 aluminum with no forward overhang.
Standard Duty — Black
The shortened front section provides additional scope clearance while keeping a full Picatinny mounting surface where it is needed.
