Savage 210, 212, and 220 Picatinny Rail Fitment Guide

Savage 210, 212, and 220 slug guns do not all use the same scope base. Confirm the exact model before ordering.

Savage 210

The Savage 210 uses its own base with a 3.659-inch center spread, measured center-to-center between the two centermost receiver screw holes. The 210 base does not interchange with the Savage 212 or 220.

Savage 212

The Savage 212 uses 4.630-inch long-action screw spacing, but its receiver dimensions are different from the Savage 210 and 220. Use the dedicated 212 base.

Savage 220

Every Savage 220 slug gun uses the same EGW mounting footprint. For most setups, the shortened Standard Duty rail is the normal choice. Choose the Hunter version when you want the stronger 7075-aluminum rail and no forward overhang.

Standard Duty — normal recommendation

The shortened front gives additional clearance for a large objective bell or for a scope that needs to sit farther rearward.

Silver Standard Duty

Choose the silver version only when you want the same shortened Model 220 rail in a silver finish.

Hunter — stronger / no-overhang option

The Hunter rail is machined from 7075 aluminum and has no forward overhang. This can improve clearance for shorter scopes and larger objective lenses.
