Savage Rimfire Scope Mount & Picatinny Rail Fitment Guide
Find the correct EGW Picatinny rail for Savage Mark I, Mark II, Model 93, A17, A22, B17, B22, B.MAG, Model 64, Rascal, Revel, and Model 42 rimfire rifles.
Start With Your Savage Model
Savage has produced several different rimfire receiver designs, and similar model names do not always use the same scope rail. The easiest way to find the correct EGW mount is to identify the exact rifle model first, then check the one or two fitment details that apply to that family.
Quick Model Guide
| Mark I / Mark II / Model 93 | Measure the ejection-port opening. The two common rail families use either a 1-3/8-inch or 1-5/8-inch opening. |
| A17 / A22 | A17, A22 Magnum, and current or older A22 LR receivers use the current shared A17/A22 rail family. |
| B17 / B22 | B17 and B22-family rifles share one rail family. The B.MAG is different. |
| B.MAG | Uses its own dedicated rail and does not use the B17/B22 mount. |
| Model 64 | The receiver must be factory drilled and tapped. A dovetail-only Model 64 does not accept this rail. |
| Rascal | Several rail styles are available depending on ejection side and whether the rifle uses the Williams sight. |
| Revel | Revel Classic and Revel DLX use one dedicated EGW 0 MOA rail. |
| Model 42 / 42T | Uses a dedicated Model 42 rail available in 0 MOA. |
Savage Mark I, Mark II, Model 93 & Stevens 300 Series
Savage Mark II and Model 93 rifles share the same basic receiver family, but two different ejection-port lengths were used. The rail must have the correct opening so it does not interfere with the rifle's ejection port.
Savage Mark I or MK I rifles and Stevens 300-series rimfires, including the Stevens 310, can also use the newer 1-5/8-inch rail family when the ejection-port opening measures 1-5/8 inches.

- Make sure the firearm is unloaded before beginning installation.
- Clean oil, debris, and old threadlocker from the receiver holes and mounting screws.
- Start each screw gently by hand. Never force a screw that does not thread smoothly.
- The rails listed in this guide use #6-48 x 1/4-inch mounting screws and include a T-10 bit.
- Confirm that the rail sits fully against the receiver before tightening the screws.
Common Savage Rimfire Questions
How do I know which Mark II rail I need?
Measure the length of the ejection-port opening. The two common receiver versions use either a 1-3/8-inch or 1-5/8-inch opening. A factory AccuTrigger usually indicates the newer 1-5/8-inch version.
Are the Savage B22 and B.MAG rails the same?
No. The B17/B22 family and B.MAG use different rails. Check the exact model marking on the rifle before ordering.
Will the Model 64 rail fit a dovetail-only receiver?
No. The EGW Model 64 Picatinny rail requires a receiver that was factory drilled and tapped for scope-base screws.
Which Rascal rail gives the most loading clearance?
The large ejection-port-cut Rascal rails provide additional clearance around the loading and ejection area. Choose the left- or right-hand version that matches the rifle.
Should I choose 0 MOA or 20 MOA?
For most rimfire rifles, 0 MOA is a good starting point when shooting around 100 yards or less. A 20 MOA rail provides additional usable elevation for longer-range rimfire shooting. Higher-cant rails such as 30 or 40 MOA are better suited to specialized long-range setups where the scope has enough adjustment to maintain the desired zero.
Still Unsure Which Savage Rimfire Rail Fits?
Send EGW Support the exact model name marked on the rifle. For a Mark I, Mark II, Model 93, or Stevens 300-series rifle, include the ejection-port measurement. For a Rascal, include the sight type and ejection side. A clear photo of the receiver and its mounting holes can also help confirm fitment.
